Verdi, NV Water Solution
Another open and shut well water case in Verdi, NV which is just west of Reno. Most residents in Verdi are on a private well and have some combination of iron, arsenic, manganese, hardness, or odor issues.
It always makes me smile when a customer presents a water report expecting to dedicate a wall of their garage to water equipment for the numerous contaminants they’re trying to get rid of, and I get to watch their reaction when I tell them they only need one system. In this particular case, the customer had iron, manganese, and hardness issues that were causing them to have to replace their toilet floats every 6-8 months among other things. Their odor was minor and intermittent, and their water had no color coming out of the well (although it turned a lovely orange after some time exposed to the air).
All of these criteria were checkpoints down the list that made their water a perfect candidate for the Water Right Sanitizer. Since the Sanitizer is a water softener that is designed to remove iron and manganese at the same time (without the constant maintenance and hassle that iron and manganese normally create for a water softener), it was a one step solution for these customers. We also did a reverse osmosis system (not pictured here) for these customers to remove the 30 ppb arsenic that was in their well. It is rare that we ever find a well in Verdi, NV without arsenic in it. If you are on well water in Verdi, NV or anywhere in Northern Nevada for that matter, you owe it to yourself and your family to have your water tested. The State Health Lab on UNR’s campus does arsenic testing for $25, and it is well worth the money to know where your levels are.
