Tahoe water filter for algae and sediment
This installation was for a home on the lake shore of Tahoe City. We’ve found recurring issues with the homes in that area growing algae in their plumbing and fixtures. This is especially an issue when it is a second home that is not lived in most of the year. At the time of install, we did a piping shock with a cold sterilant to kill any and all algae that was present. The One tank (black tank in picture) has a 3 micron carbon block in it that will catch sediment and most algae. Furthermore the Sanitron UV kills bacteria and algae at a rate of 40 gpm. We’ve done this setup for a few homes around the lake now, and have had great success.
Do you have algae in your water? Common symptoms can include: an oily film that develops on the surface of toilets or bath water. musky or fishy odor, or visible particulates of a green or yellow color.
